Hi everyone! My name is Saylor Marlow, and I will be serving as your President this year. I am a senior majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in Chemistry and General Business. I plan on attending medical school after graduation to pursue a career as a primary care physician. In addition to AED, I am an emergency medical technician with the FSU Medical Response Unit and Gadsden County EMS! I will also be spending my time this year working as a general chemistry LA and volunteering at TMH. Hey everyone! My name is Samuel Bethards and I am serving as your Vice President for AED for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am a senior majoring in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry and Philosophy of Science. I plan on taking a year after graduation to develop more experience in the medical field and apply for medical school for the following year. My goal is to pursue a career in internal medicine. I am highly interested in allergy and immunology, but I am open to other primary care fields as well. I enjoy hiking, basketball, guitar, piano, and spending time with friends. I am also involved with FSU’s Biological Honor Society Executive Board and I enjoy volunteering with Healthy Noles.
As your Vice President, I aim to provide our student body with a diverse group of speakers ranging from all corners of the healthcare industry. I am here to assist you in your healthcare pursuits, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hey everyone! My name is Lauren Genewick and I’m so excited to serve as your secretary this year. I’m a senior that’s double majoring in Public Health and Biology. After I get my Bachelor’s degree I plan to continue my education until I get a Doctorate and from there I’ll go on into the public health field. On campus I’m in FSU’s Medical Response Unit and working to receive my Global Citizenship Certificate. This academic year I hope to help keep the FSU AED ship running smoothly with my work as secretary! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Hi! I’m Alexandra Martin your treasurer for AED this year. I am a biology major with a chemistry minor and will be graduating this Spring! I am currently a Certified Medical Assistant and plan on working as an MA during my gap year and start studying for the MCAT this year. I currently volunteer at TMH Mobility Clinic, participate in Dance Marathon, and had other clinical internships over the summer. I also do research in muscle mechanics with Dr. Chase in the Biology Department. I love running and did a half marathon and plan on doing the Tally one this February! My other hobbies include baking, reading, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Hi everybody! My name is Megan Hallman and I will be serving as your Historian for the 2024-2025 school year. I’m a sophomore majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience, minoring in Chemistry, and I plan to attend medical school after a gap year working as a medical assistant. I hope to pursue a career one day as a dermatologist, psychiatrist, or neurologist. Here at FSU, I’m also a part of Phi Delta Epsilon, the pre-medical fraternity, and I’m a facilitator for Engage TLH volunteer events. Being an out of state student, it was my priority to get involved ASAP on campus, so if you are looking for ways to get involved, let me know! I would love to help! I’ll be spending a lot of my time this year working as a medical assistant as well as a chemistry LA in addition to volunteering at TMH. In my free time (when I’m not studying), I enjoy cooking, baking, and doing yoga.
As your Historian, it is my goal to keep you all informed on upcoming events, meetings, and volunteer opportunities. I also hope to design merchandise that you’ll actually wear! I am looking forward to seeing current members and meeting new ones! I can’t wait to have an amazing year with you all:)

Hey everyone, my name is Kyle Gransee, and I will be serving as your Internal Service Director for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a senior majoring in Public Health with a minor in Chemistry. After graduation, I plan to apply to medical school in May and take a gap year participating in the DRAPS program in Tallahassee. I am particularly interested in pursuing a career in anesthesiology. I am an avid swimmer, part of the FSU Swim Club, and a former collegiate athlete at Indian River State College. I also volunteer regularly around Tallahassee, including with Habitat for Humanity and Volunteer Leon. This summer, I worked as a Patient Care Assistant at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
My goals for AED this year include encouraging as many members as possible to get involved in volunteering and making these opportunities as accessible as possible. I want to ensure our volunteer events are fun and enjoyable for everyone, and I can’t wait to volunteer with you all this semester!

Hi everyone! My name is Ava Simon and I will be serving as your External Service Director. I am a sophomore majoring in behavioral neuroscience and minoring in chemistry. After college, I plan to take a gap year as an EMT and then attend med school. I hope to pursue a career in emergency medicine, gynecology or dermatology! I am apart of a sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, have a job as a learning assistant teaching biology, and am involved in the Medical Response Unit here on campus! Some things I like to outside of school are scuba diving, reading, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends.
As an External Service Director, I hope to create a positive environment that we can grow and reach our goals! I am excited to share and provide the resources and possibilities our organization has to offer. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns!

Hi everyone! My name is Mark Ondash, and I will be serving as your Service Chair for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a sophomore majoring in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences: Pre-Clinical Professions. I am on track for medical school with the goal of becoming a physician focused on Gastroenterology and Crohn's treatment research. Outside of AED, I am in the CCVA program in the Internal Medicine department of TMH. I am participating in a variety of volunteering organizations, am a Facilitator for SLS, and part of Survivor FSU. In my free time I enjoy running/exercise, manga, and going on various unplanned adventures with friends.

Along with AED, I am a member of the Alpha Chi Sigma (Professional Chemistry Fraternity) and volunteer at the Mobility Clinic at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. I am also doing research in the field of cardiovascular disease at the College of Medicine. When I’m not doing class or research I love painting, exercising, and hanging out with friends. Hey everyone! My name is Marian Gonzalez, and I will be serving as your 2024-2025 Special Events Director. I am a senior majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Business Administration. I plan to take attend medical school once I graduate. Outside of AED, I am the president of Hispanic Honor Society and volunteer at the hospice center as well as TMH mobility clinic. I am also part of Dr. Sang cancer research group and will be a chemistry learning assisntant. In my free time I love trying new things, hanging out with friends and family, and cooking!

Hello everyone! My name is Alanis Velez and I have the pleasure of serving as AED's PR/Membership Director for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am a senior majoring in Biochemistry on a pre-med track. I currently work as a Patient Care Technician in the PACU unit at HCA and I volunteer once a week at the Bixler ER. Aside from AED, I also serve as the Event Coordinator for PRSA, as being Puerto Rican is a very big part of who I am. In my free time I love reading, cooking, going to concerts or to the beach.
This year I hope to create a family within AED where every member feels safe and comfortable to ask for support and to consider all of us as one of their friends. After all, we are all in this together!! I look forward to all we can accomplish this year, please don't ever hesitate to reach out :)

Hi Everyone! My name is Carina Baiano, and I will be serving as your International Outreach Director for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a junior majoring in Biology on the pre-med and minoring in Chemistry and Spanish. Outside of AED, I am a research assistant in the Biology department and volunteer with the Mobility Clinic at TMH. I will also be a Learning Assistant for Biology this Fall semester. In my free time, I like to participate in IM sports, play instruments, draw/paint, be in nature, and spend time with friends.
As the International Outreach Director, I hope to open opportunities to AED and FSU to engage with international communities in need of assistance, especially those needing more medical resources. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

Hi guys! My name is Jackson Lahsangah, and I’ll be serving as your Mentorship Program Director! I am currently a senior majoring in Cell and Molecular Neuroscience minoring in psychology. After I graduate, I plan on taking a gap year to improve my clinical skills as well as build connections and apply to medical school to pursue a Neurosurgery specialty. Apart from AED, I am a part of the CCAV program at TMH in the Neuro department. Along with this, I’m the chair for academics on the Leadership Council for the College of Arts and Sciences. The biggest thing apart from AED is my role as President of Operation SWIFT, a club where we focus on promoting healthy habits on campus. This year my aim for the mentorship program is to get the FSU college of medicine involved with our upperclassmen to provide them with mentoring as they start the application process for graduate schooling. I want to build up the mentor/mentee community and host events where mentors and mentees can bond and form strong relationships.

I’m a senior majoring in Biology with the goal of attending medical school and practicing as a physician. This year I will be working in Dr. Maranges' lab in addition to being a biology Learning Assistant. I am also the President of the FSU Sailing Club and am a part of their race team. Outside of academics, I love spending time with friends and family and in the outdoors, whether that’s surfing, hiking, or sailing of course!

Hi everyone! My name is Olivia Motta and I am excited to serve as your co-academic chair for the 2024-2025 school year! I am a second year majoring in Athletic Training on the Pre-PA subplan! After I graduate, I plan to attend Physician Assistant school and specialize in either Orthopedics or Labor and Delivery. Currently, I am gaining patient care experience by working as a CNA. Here at FSU, I am involved in the Pre-Physician Assistant club and I also serve as a Facilitator for Engage TLH volunteer trips. Outside of academics, I serve as the Vice President of FSU's Competitive Club Cheerleading team, Garnet Girls. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and being active!
As one of your academic chairs, it is my goal to make sure you all feel comfortable seeking academic assistance with any subject. I also strive for us all to build connections with members of AED outside of the library! I look forward to all that we will accomplish together this year!

Hi, my name is Matthew Daniels and I am excited to serve as your Co-Dance Marathon Chair for 2024-2025. I am currently a senior majoring in IMS-Clinical Professions on a Pre-Medicine track. My plans include applying to medical school, and after medical school, I aim to join the military to work as an emergency medicine physician. Some of my hobbies include working out, scuba diving, playing video games, and studying. Outside of school, I volunteer at Bixler ED, and am currently enrolled in HSC’s Clinical Assistant program.
This year, for AED, my primary goal is to make everyone feel included and welcome, especially those who are new to FSU. Additionally, I am determined to raise more money than ever before for Dance Marathon this year. If you have any questions, just ask! I am more than happy to help.

Hi everyone! My name is Aidan Beaty and I will be serving as your Co-Dance Marathon Chair for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a sophomore majoring in Exercise Physiology. After I get my Bachelors degree I plan on going to DPT school and becoming a Physical Therapist. Outside of AED I am the vice president for a book club me and some friends created. I love reading, going on walks, painting, and hanging out with friends.
